This day and age it isn’t about knowing the promoter or knowing who the door man is. It is getting on the right rsvp mailing list. If you can get on that magic mailing list you can get access to events and parties. I am not on these magic mailing lists, but i know that they exist. I see the aftermath of these emails, i see the blurred out images of the phone number to call or the email to rsvp too.

Of course it always helps to know the doorman and promotoer, because they are the ones that make it all happen. But you have to know about the party first. These people are to busy or don’t care so much about you to give you a call. And knowing the right people you can go past the line, Which is always helpfull.
